When was it stated that Chakotay's animal guide was a tigress? In [{e|The Cloud}} he doesn't want to tell Captain Janeway what his animal guide is:

"I can't tell you that. It would offend my animal guide if I spoke its name."

Onscreen, Chakotay's animal guide is only revealed to be female, nothing more. In Jeri Taylor's Pathways, the guide's a (female) snake, an irony since Chakotay is said to dislike snakes in the novel. -- Miranda Jackson ^(Talk) 03:20, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
