Talk:Arex

From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

Jump to: navigation, search

I assume it would be okay to call Arex an Edoan? This species name comes from the Lincoln Enterprises biography (just like the Caitian species for M'Ress). It's not strictly canon, but it's widely regarded as 'true', and there are no contradictions with any established or even fandom facts. -- Harry 23:40, 20 Oct 2004 (CEST)

According to Edosian orchid, the species name is edosian. And I have added it as a note to the article. — THOR 18:36, 1 Apr 2005 (EST)

[edit] {{pna-incomplete}}

Missing what I would assume to be gouts of information from The Animated Series. — THOR 18:36, 1 Apr 2005 (EST)

I just saw "Beyond The Farthest Stars" (1st episode) and I saw Arex (or at least an Edoan) in it on the bridge. But all the websites (including this one) tell that he first appear in "One Of Our Planets Is Missing" (3rd episode) and not in the first episode. So, am I completely crazy? [edit] Edoan

In the academic world there is something called presidence. The first person to describe something gets to name it. The writers guidelines for the TAS and the novelizations called Arex an Edoan from the planet Edo. Why come up with a different term? I can see shortening Vulcanians to Vulcans, by why even bother changing Edoans to Edosian or Trilexians?--GreatBear 07:16, 1 Jan 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Survivor

"The Survivor" was removed by Sulfur because he didn't appear in "survivor". I just checked and he appears, unless I get a false version. - Philoust123 12:30, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
