- Actually, you are both right. Their appearance is that of a pig/dog, but they are referred to as similar to a cat. From "Where No One Has Gone Before" when Worf sees his pet Targ:
- WORF: "From home, my pet... ... but when I was a child!"
- TASHA: "You're telling us that's a kittycat?"
- WORF: "Yes, I suppose that's what you..."
