Talk:Chief Archon

How is "Chief Archon" different than just "Archon"? Shouldn't this be just one article?--31dot 18:33, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm. How about turning Archon into a disambiguation page with the following forks:
- Archon (Beta III)
- Archon (Cardassia) (merger of Chief Archon and mentions about Cardassia from Archon (title))
- Archon (R'kaal) (stub of mention from VOY: "Renaissance Man")
- Archon (starship)

- uh no, why add all those paranthetic qualifiers when we can use the ones that came with it "chief". Also, re first comment, because "chief" is a qualifier, just like chief petty officer is to petty officer. Normally I would agree with a merge for a term that is known to be synonymous, but on seeing as it is unknown if this is synonymous, I disagree with the suggestion. --Alan 15:25, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'd also point out real world analogies, such as the chief justice of the supreme court. Chief may indeed be unique here, and not just synonymous. --OuroborosCobra talk 17:39, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
