Talk:Claymore
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
A claymore is a Scottish sword. But, interestingly, Montgomery Scott was unaware that he was not looking at nor holding a claymore sword. The only explanation for this can be that the alien responsible for making Chekov believe he had a brother (when in fact he was an only child) also made Scotty see a claymore where there wasn't one.--Mike Nobody 02:25, 27 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Hey, Am i wrong in stating that the swords shown in the voyager episode "Heros and demons" are also claymores? or were those broadswords? -Teh_BuG
[edit] Claymore or not
I moved the following sentences since they imply that Mr. Scott is not wielding a claymore:
- Interestingly, Scotty was unaware that he was not looking at, nor holding, a Claymore sword. A possible explanation for this could be that the alien entity responsible for making Chekov believe he had a brother - when in fact he was an only child - also made Scotty see a Claymore where there wasn't one.
According to wikipedia:claymore, he apparently holds the later variant of claymore than the ones most people know from the Highlander movies. Egan Loo 20:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
