I removed the following:

The character was probably named after Robin Curtis, who played Saavik in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and its sequel.

For one thing, "probably" is the incorrect term: it's far more likely that the character was named after another Curtis. It's also fairly likely that the name was randomly chosen. Unless we have a citation stating that the character was specifically named for Robin Curtis, this doesn't belong in the article.
