I just thought I would point out that the credits for "The Apple" spell this characters name with two "f"'s at the end [1]. Is there a more official source for the name with one "f"? --From Andoria with Love 20:21, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

The article's notes say that Hendorf must be a crewman, ensign or lieutenant junior grade due to his having no rank insignia braids. However the Lt. J.G. rank was shown to have it's own insignia braids in "The Naked Time" as a single broken stripe as worn by Joe Tormolen (though admittedly, he's the only example in the whole of TOS). -- unsigned

But there are others, refered to as "lieutenant" that wear no stripes -- meaning it is possible for lieutenants to wear no stripes on occasion (for some reason we obviously don't know). These lieutenants include McGivers, Masters, Hadley, Leslie. -- Captain M.K.B. 17:11, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
