Talk:Japanese
From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference
The birthplaces of Sato and O'Brien, and that of Sulu's ancestors need citations. I think the citation for Sato's birthplace is the screen display in ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II. I do not know the citation for Keiko O'Brien being born in Japan (rather than having lived there at some point). I do not know the citation for Sulu's ancestors having "their roots in Japan." Does anyone have cites for the latter two? Aholland 16:31, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
I appreciate the additions of cites. Can't Sato actually be placed in Japan at her birth per ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II? See the screencap. And if so, can we avoid referencing a deleted scene? I think Keiko may be more difficult, as the reference to "Emissary" only states her mother was living in Kumomoto. (I think!) Also, in STIV wasn't the bit about Sulu talking to his Japanese great grandfather not filmed (thus only in the script) because the kid wouldn't do his lines? Or am I misremembering (long time since I saw STIV)? Thanks. Aholland 18:55, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
