- According to this story, there are at least two homosexual crewmen
on Voyager, who get together in this book.
This was removed for two reasons: For one, why was this added under an apocrypha section when the whole book itself is considered apocrypha – apocrypha within apocrypha? Secondly, having not read the book, I don't know whether this was truely a part of the book or whether it is someone's poor attempt at a joke... perhaps a fanboy fantasy? :P --From Andoria with Love 02:47, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Nah, the gay crewmen are real in the book. Their names are Ensign Brad Harrison (a security guard) and (Lieutenant?) Noah Mannick. There's a few references to them, all brief and rather hard-to-find in the very long book, but I found the introductory reference to the couple on page 201 in my paperback edition:
- Everyone was willing to accept Chakotay's decision on that matter [separating the Voyager group into two to avoid the prison guards' suspicion while they went about their escape plan], although Brad Harrison and his partner, Noah Mannick, asked to stay together, a request Chakotay was happy to accomodate. They had only recently become a couple and were still in the early flush of romantic intensity.
- Later, Mannick becomes sick from the contaminated water in the prison camp, and Harrison watches over him. I can't find the exact quote for that right now, sorry.
- Incidentally, I'd do the summary for this book... but I suffer from chronic verbal diarrhoea, and a side-effect of that is that can't summarise to save my life. And even if I could summarise, my cursed laziness balks at summarising a 15-chapter, 501-page book. ;-) -- Miranda Jackson (Talk) 03:31, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
