[edit] Accuracy

It seems this, and other similar articles regarding the DS9 TM and "Mr Scott's guide to the Enterprise" are pretty complimentary about the books, particularly in the background section (which is almost identical on the three articles). Sadly I've not got a copy of any of the three, but I've seen innumerate complaints about the web that the TMs contradict not only each other, but onscreen data as well, and as such, are not regarded as canon in their speculation by the majority of fans. I believe (though it's a while since I've checked) that Bernd at EAS has a number of essays which highlight the inaccuracy of the TMs on a variety of subjects - do most people really accept this as canon and is it generally deserving of what seems like a complimentary article? - Hayter 19:17, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

There is no canon source, at least none that I can find. The term comes straight from the manual, so I merged it with the manual's article. --From Andoria with Love 02:35, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
