Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson was Human politician who served as the 3rd President of the United States at the turn of the 19th century.

Jefferson's face is featured among the faces that adorn Mount Rushmore. (Star Trek V: The Final Frontier)

Jefferson is known for his quote:

"I have sworn eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."

This quote was remembered by Starfleet for the quote that appeared on the dedication plaque of the USS Yamato. (TNG: "Contagion")
