Three Mile Island was a nuclear power plant located on the Three Mile Island in the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States on Earth.
On March 28, 1979, the Unit 2 suffered a partial core meltdown, just seven years before the Chernobyl disaster. No one died or suffered injuries, but the accident opened the discussion about nuclear power security.
An image of the power plant was visible in a panorama of historical images present in the timestream, when Daniels informed Jonathan Archer that time had been altered and set back on course. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")
