Tonya Chianis

Tonya Chianis is a dancer and occasional actress who played the holographic fire sculptor in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Cost of Living". She received no credit for her appearance.
Chianis has been working as a belly-dance and Middle Eastern dance performer, choreographer, and teacher and has won several awards for her work. She is also coordinating dancing competitions and creating costumes for her dancers. Chianis wrote the book "Insights and Inspirations for Dancers" in 1989 and is a practitioner of religious science. Her daughter Atlantis is also a dancer and she is married to Andreas Chianis, a Greek musician. Mother and daughter have released over 100 dance DVDs and videos and also music CDs which features the vocals of Tonya Chianis.
