The transporter array is an integral part of a starship's transporter system.

The entire transporter array of the USS Enterprise-D was taken offline by Miles O'Brien when he was taken over by hostile Ux-Mal criminals in 2368 in order to prevent anybody from beaming the criminals back to a moon of Mab-Bu VI. (TNG: "Power Play")
