Victor Rivers

Victor Rivers is the actor who played Altovar in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Distant Voices". He was born in Cuba, and played for the Miami Dolphins in the late 1970s.
Rivers is now a leading activist against domestic violence against women and children. He is the national spokesman for the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
He has acted in motion pictures such as Fear City (with Emilia Crow), 8 Million Ways to Die (with James Avery), Last Resort (with Ian Abercrombie), Cat Chaser (with Peter Weller), One Good Cop (with Tony Plana and Kevin Conway), Nixon (with Paul Sorvino, Michelle Krusiec, Annette Helde, Robert Beltran, Saul Rubinek and Tony Plana again), The Mask of Zorro and Hulk.
He has guest-starred in television shows such as 24, Miami Vice and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr..
