A warp field engineer is an engineer who specializes in warp fields.

Stron, a Vulcan stranded on 1950s Earth became frustrated with his life as a plumber. He found that being compared to the Stooge, Moe, was "intolerable" because he was a warp field engineer. (ENT: "Carbon Creek")
