Yarim Fel Syndrome

Yarim Fel Syndrome is a terminal Cardassian illness. The patient's life can be prolonged by hexadrin therapy or neuro-regeneration procedures, but the outcome is always the same.

The disease spreads throughout the patient's body and will cause shooting pain. Once the digestive tract, cartilage tissue and respiratory system are infected the patient is expected to live for about a week, depending on his current physical state. Eventually, the disease will cause central nervous system failure, resulting in the death of the patient.
